Some projects aren't planned; they are felt. When I first saw the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso, it was love at first sight. The Art Deco lines, the ingenious flip mechanism, and the sheer elegance of its design felt like a challenge my pen couldn't ignore. I started this as a purely personal project—a 1.5-meter tribute to the "invisible" craft of watchmaking.
In a beautiful moment of serendipity, the drawing was discovered by the actual brand after it was finished. What started as a solitary conversation between my pen and a sheet of paper ended up being officially displayed at the brand’s own event. It was a humbling validation that when you draw with enough respect for the original craft, the world notices.
To honor the Reverso’s legacy, I worked on a monumental scale (101cm x 152cm) using Uni Pin fineliners on heavy 640gsm Arches paper. Every reflection in the steel and every tiny hatch on the dial was an act of appreciation for a design that has remained iconic for nearly a century.
