Before 2020, I was an urban sketcher. My art was defined by travel, movement, and the outdoors. When the world stopped, I took the lockdown as a challenge to explore a style I had always respected but never tried: Hyper-realism.The Inspiration: A Legacy of Craftsmanship

Drawing inspiration from my time as a watch magazine illustrator, I wanted to pay tribute to the energy and obsession I witnessed in the watchmaking industry. I’ve always been fascinated by the "crazy details"—the invisible craftsmanship that goes into a timepiece. To honor that, I chose the most iconic figure in cinematic history: James Bond.

Everyone knows Bond, but I wanted people to see the watches the way a watchmaker does. I decided to draw on a massive scale—101cm x 152cm—to ensure every microscopic texture of the steel and glass was captured. Using Uni Pin fineliners on heavy 640gsm Arches paper, this series of three (the Rolex 5513 and two Omegas) became a meditative study in patience and precision.
