food_Inked started from pure curiosity. I wanted to see if I could capture the "warmth" of a dessert using only cold, black ink. This series of four iconic treats was a personal challenge to test my passion for realism in a way I’ve never tried before.
The process wasn't as sweet as the subjects. It took months of sketching and drafting just to get the compositions right. There was a moment during the "Croissant" piece where I realized the scale was off—it felt too large, too heavy for something that should feel light and buttery. Even though I had already invested hours into it, I decided to throw it away and start over.
Sometimes, as an artist, you have to be willing to destroy the work to save the vision.
